Q. How old do you have to be to play?
A. There is no minimum age, but the guns are heavy so we suggest that the age be 5 and above. A 5 year old might have trouble carrying the gun for more than an hour. The guns weigh about 4 lbs. Usually a 5 year old will have their parent helping them play. A more suitable age is 7 and above - they can usually play by themselves.
Q. Does it hurt when you get shot?
A. No, it does not hurt at all. When you are shot, the gun just lowers the amount of lives you have left until you are out of the game.
Q. What should we bring to the game?
A. You can bring proper shoes and most people like to bring camouflage clothing to blend in. Proper shoes or boots for the weather and sturdy shoes such as close-toed shoes, rather than flip-flops because you are going to be running around in the woods. Some people like to bring gloves if it is colder, just make sure you can pull the trigger with them on, sometimes people bring mitts and cannot use their finger. It is good to wear layers, because after running around, people get hot, but after the game, it can be cold if you are not moving around. If it is in the winter or rainy, you can bring a change of clothes. Extra cash if you want to rent any extra stuff like camo jackets, or buy a t-shirt.
Q. Where do we play?
A. We are looking to start up an outdoor location in Michigan close to Niles and Granger IN.
Q. Can you play outdoor/indoor laser tag in the winter?
A. Yes, we can. Remember that sometimes the snow can get quite deep, which can make it extremely tiring to run in. We have played in waist deep snow and a few times, just walking out to the playing area wore everybody out.
Q. How many people can play at once?
A. We can host games for hundreds of people, but not all at once. If you have a big group, we run a round robin type game, where part of the group gets a rest while the others play. We can also run large games in a festival type atmosphere, where people play small 10 min games. There are usually other activities that they can do, like in a school fair setting. We can run about 20 guns at a time.
Q. Do you offer any fund-raising activities?
A. Yes, we do. You can use us as a great draw for a school fair. We have done a fair for a fund-raising event for a city run summer camp, and we were one of the activites available. We can arrange a flat fee or a profit-sharing type event.
